Delivery Information
When will it be delivered?
Your item will be delivered within 3-7 working days ( Monday to Friday) in Galway City & County, although we always strive to deliver before this.
We aim to dispatch large appliances within 1-5 working days ( Monday to Friday subject to availability), in Galway City and County. Orders may go outside of this timeframe at busier times such as Christmas or sale times.
How much is home delivery?
· Delivery in Galway city and county is €19.99 for large appliances.
Delivery of American Fridge Freezers in Galway is €39.99
Delivery requiring 2 persons (in the case of upstairs delivery & no lift available) is €39.99
· Small item delivery in Galway city and county is €6.99
Small item delivery nationwide is €6.99
If you order multiple items online, you’ll pay a maximum €19.99 for Galway city and county for delivery.
Small item delivery charge is €6.99 – no matter how many products you order. So if you order multiple items online, you’ll pay a maximum of €6.99 for delivery in Galway city and county and €6.99 nationwide.
We use an post express signature delivery for small items, or a courier company therefore a signature will be required when delivered.
How much is delivery to a store?
· In Store or Ballybane collection for a large appliance is free.
· In Store or Ballybane Collection for a small appliance is free.
*Please note that delivery to a store can sometimes be 3-5 working days ( Monday to Friday). You will be contacted when your item is ready for collection.
Delivery Times Our standard deliveries are made between the hours of 9.30am and 6 pm, Monday to Friday in Galway City and County. A signature will be required upon delivery. For large appliances our driver will contact you prior to delivery Items which we have to special order from the manufacturer may take longer to deliver. You will be notified if there is an extended delivery on any item you purchase
Will you collect my old appliance?
Yes, on the delivery of a large appliance we’ll collect your old appliance for free on a like for like basis. I.e. if you order a washing machine, we'll take away your old one for free. Please ensure your old appliance is disconnected, clean and ready for removal.
If the old appliance(s) are not ready for collection these can be returned to the shop at any time. Passage ways to the location of the appliance must be cleared before our drivers arrive, otherwise the unit will be left at the nearest point of entry.
Where we provide an Installation service, the above terms will also apply with the addition that work areas must be cleared and cleaned before the arrival of the Installer. Where areas are not ready, the Installer may decide to cancel the Installation and a full refund will be applied.
What happens if I miss my delivery? For large items, if nobody is home to accept the delivery, it will be returned to our warehouse and a re-delivery will be scheduled.
Returns Policy
Please read our returns policy prior to purchasing from Peter Murphy Lighting & Electrical Ltd, in order to familiarise yourself with our policies on returns, refunds, repairs and your legal rights. We also recommend you immediately inspect any goods which we have delivered to you or that you have collected from our store, to ensure that all products are of acceptable quality and as described. We can change or cancel an order up until it is dispatched. If the order has been dispatched, you can return the unopened goods to us and we will organise a refund.
Please confirm the below prior to your delivery.
- There is access to the premises that will allow for appliance to fit through doorways.
- We must be informed in advance if there are any issues with stairs, lift access or gated entries to ensure an efficient delivery service.
- The removal and disposal of packing in not included in delivery only services.
For USA Fridge Freezer access we
- Will need a width of 750mm minimum to get the item unpacked and through the door
- Advance notification of any obstructions or works at the property
- Advance notification of 90 degree bends along hallway
- Advance notification of stairs or lift access
- Adequate parking at the delivery address
